A2. Continuity of Policies - Right to Change or Discontinue

The policies and procedures in this manual are not intended to be contractual commitments by M&M Weatherization Company and employees shall not construe them as such. They are intended to be guides to management and merely descriptive of suggested procedures to be followed.

M&M Weatherization Company reserves the right to revoke, change, or supplement guidelines at any time without notice. No policy is intended as a guarantee of continuity of benefits or rights. No permanent employment or employment for any term is intended or can be implied by statements in this manual.

A3.  Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action

Equal Opportunity is a M&M Weatherization Company policy. It is our policy to select the best-qualified person for each position in the organization.

No employee of the company will discriminate against an applicant for employment or a fellow employee because of race, creed, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, or any physical or mental disability. No employee of the company will discriminate against any applicant or fellow employee because of the person’s veteran status.

This policy applies to all employment practices and personnel actions including advertising, recruitment, testing, screening, hiring, selection for training, upgrading, transfer, demotion, layoff, termination, rates of pay, and other forms of compensation or overtime.  Any instance of perceived discrimination of the nature described above should be reported to the Human Resources Department.

M&M Weatherization Company has adopted an Affirmative Action policy which essentially means that the company will hire, develop, and promote qualified members of protected groups — defined as racial minorities, women, physically or mentally disabled, disabled veterans, veterans of the Vietnam era, and persons of ages 40 and over.
